Planting Design

I can design a planting scheme for use within a complete redesign of a garden or simply for a border that needs a new look in an existing one. From the first Snowdrops in January, through to the abundance of insect humming Lavender in late June and round to crunchy leaves underfoot in Autumn, the planting of any space is all important.

Putting the right plant in the right place is essential. Put a plant where it loves to be and it will thrive, giving you the garden of your dreams. I like to let the plants do the work, whether you want cottage garden or city style the planting will finish any design to perfection.

Whether it is the softening of a path edge or giving height and structure at the back of a border, we will consider the aspect of your garden as well as soil type and exposure. The outlook or view will be taken into account as a garden needs to sit well within its surroundings. What you will be using your garden for, children or elderly folk, entertaining or relaxing will all be important.

After a client consultation I draw a planting scheme or schemes similar to those shown below. They will be in depth and include costings for implementation.
